Chief Technology Officer

Hugh McDonough, M.Ed., is chief technology officer at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP), where he is focused on expanding AHP’s project impact using innovative technology solutions. Mr. McDonough has 22 years of experience designing secure government data and collaboration solutions and helping organizations build their technology capabilities. He began his career as a mental health counselor, running a dropout prevention center and a school-based treatment center. Since then, Mr. McDonough has designed solutions for grant management, health informatics, public health program delivery, national health information networks, audit management, public health campaigns, and international disease reporting networks. He has directed several projects defining national data standards for behavioral health and justice programs. Mr. McDonough received his Master of Education degree from the Adolescent Risk and Prevention Program at Harvard University.
