ANNOUNCEMENT

Free Webinar and Resources to Help Build Behavioral Health Workforce Developments: Oct. 28

Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP), is offering a free webinar, “Build Your Behavioral Health Workforce to Support Population Health Management,” on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, 12:30–1:30 p.m. ET. Participation is open to all with registration.

AHP also is providing a set of free resources to help accountable care organizations (ACOs) develop their behavioral health workforce.

A dynamic behavioral health workforce development plan puts ACOs on the fast track to achieving the Triple Aim (improved quality, outcomes and cost savings) and successful population health management. These goals are what drive efforts to integrate behavioral health with primary health and social services in ACOs.

The sickest 10 percent of people, who typically have comorbidities that include behavioral health issues, account for 65 percent of healthcare expenses, according to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. A flexible and fluid approach to building a behavioral health workforce can help address this problem, and webinar participants will gain the tools and knowledge to develop an effective plan toward building that workforce.
